Muncie Pottery 1928 Spanish Line Glossy Green Low Aorta Vase #278-5 Haley Design
In 1927, Reuben Haley created designs for both Muncie Pottery and Consolidated Glass recalling early Spanish tableware. The Consolidated Glass pieces were known as Catalonian, and the Muncie Pottery ceramic pieces were designated as the Spanish Line. There are only 6 known shapes produced by Muncie Pottery in the Spanish Line.
Here we have an excellent example of the Spanish line, a 5 3/4 inch wide glossy or bright green 'Low Aorta' vase. The glossy green glaze is very similar to the oceans sea green. Great arts and crafts form designed to hold a multitude of flowers. Add this to your collection before someone else does!!
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs. FREE from crazing. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
Authentic and appropriately signed Muncie. All pictures are original and un-edited.
Height: 4 1/4", Base: 3 1/2", Width: 5 3/4" ID2472
