    Description

A really nice pair of coupe champagne or sherbet glasses that have been identified as 19th Century Baccarat.  They appear to be the same size and shape of another 19th Century Baccarat pattern (BAC139) but, with less ornamentation.  One online seller from England states that the BAC139 she has for sale dates from the 1860's.  A well respected local appraiser looked at the glasses that are for sale here and agreed that they are very likely Baccarat but, dated them to the late 1800's.  The closest current Baccarat pattern is "Harcourt", which has a different stem, no star cuts on the base and no gold trim.  These are 5" tall and 3-7/8" across the rims.  They are heavy at 14 oz. each.  The condition is very nice and clean.  There is only very minor wear to the gold.  There may be a very tiny spot of roughness on the rim that appears to be under the gold so, it may be as made.
