Schrimshaw Plaque

Description

This was an estate find from Newport Rhode Island....It looks like a plaque but i think it possibly came from the top of a Nantucket Schrimshaw handbag...it is on wood and has a few small nail holes on side............I have no way to test it so it is on here....measures:  7 3/4" X shy of 6"..... Schrimshaw is 4" X 2 1/2"slight shy..any questions ask....
