    Description

    (Internal #CAVE-258-4)  You are bidding on a Genuine EXTINCT FOSSIL, CAVE BEAR CANINE TOOTH from ROMANIA.  It measures a LARGE 5-1/2" long (measured following the curvature of the tooth).
    From a true cave-dwelling bear from the Carpathian Mountain caves near Brasso, Brasov, or Kronstadt, Romania, (URSUS SPELAEUS), this item has been professionally restored & stabilized.  This bear grew to 10' or more in length, and up to a ton in weight.  The Romanian cave bear is larger than the Russian (Ursus Uralensis) bear (which is a cave hibernating bear but not a cave dwelling bear).
    Dated to the Pleistocene Era (42,000 to 100,000 years ago).
    The Romanian Government no longer allows their Cave Bear fossils to be shipped outside its borders, having declared it a National Treasure, which makes these available fossils that much more sought after as time goes on.  A real investment that will only go UP in value.  Every purchase c
